Kopilotti Sales

Your digital car salesperson. Your dealership’s terms.

Kopilotti Sales is your dealership’s sales channel. It negotiates and accepts a price within your authority and limits. After the price is agreed, your dealership is responsible for the sales contract, signature, payment or financing, and vehicle handover.

At the list price or through negotiation — toward an agreed price.

Concept demo: no binding offer, contract or payment. Commercial rollout requires verified connections to the dealer’s systems.

Asiakas ei aina odota aamuun. Kiinnostava auto on löytynyt. Mutta yksi kysymys on vielä auki. Voimmeko keskustella hinnasta?

Kopilotti Sales tuo hintaneuvottelun osaksi autoliikkeen digitaalista myyntipolkua.

Liikekohtainen yhteenvetorajapinta on toteutettu.

Seuraava askel on rajattu pilotti autoliikkeen omassa myyntipolussa. Valitaan autot, sovitaan toimintarajat ja mitataan tulokset.

Kopilotti Sales. Yksi linkki. Kaupanteko jatkuu. Keskustellaan pilotista.

Challenge

Interest peaks when no one is there to answer it

  • Buyers browse cars in the evenings, at night and on weekends — outside dealer opening hours.
  • Interest is highest at the exact moment a salesperson or trade-in manager is unreachable.
  • Price negotiation easily stalls waiting for manual approval.
  • That delay can break the buying decision entirely.
  • Kopilotti Sales gives the customer an immediate, controlled next response.

The goal is to shorten the time between a customer's offer and the dealer's response.

Researched buying behaviour

The buyer is already online when the deal gets decided

The used-car buying journey most often starts online. 90% of buyers research online, and price influences the choice for 72%. Almost a third are ready to complete the purchase digitally. Yet price negotiation still often waits for a salesperson or trade-in manager.

  • 90% research the car online
  • 72% say price influences the choice
  • Almost 1/3 complete the purchase digitally

Kopilotti Sales brings this last manual step into the same digital buying journey.

Normal car retail

Digital price negotiation doesn't turn car retail into an auction

Not an auction. Not dynamic pricing. A digital price negotiation within the market price.

Kopilotti Sales is intended for the normal retail sale of used vehicles. It is not an auction, a bidding competition, or an automated clearance channel.

The vehicle is still sold at the market price and on the same terms the dealer has set, as in ordinary car retail. Digital price negotiation only operates within the dealer's own pre-defined business rules.

Before negotiating, the customer has access to the listing and the dealer's own condition report. The sale is ordinary consumer retail, subject to consumer-protection rights the same way as any other dealer consumer sale.

Digital price negotiation doesn't change the terms of the sale. It only removes unnecessary waiting when a decision can be made safely within the dealer's business rules.

Built for

A transaction layer for the platforms and groups around the dealer

  • For marketplaces

Keep more of the transaction within the marketplace ecosystem instead of handing the highest-value customer activity entirely to dealer-owned channels.

  • For dealer platforms

Extend inventory, CRM and dealer-management systems with a controlled customer-facing transaction flow.

  • For dealer groups

Let customers progress outside opening hours while the dealer retains control of pricing, stock, financing relationships and vehicle delivery.

How the digital salesperson sells

  1. Customer selects a vehicle

The vehicle listing and condition information support the buying decision.

  2. List price or negotiation

The customer can proceed at the list price or negotiate. Sales accepts a price on the dealer’s behalf within its rules.

  3. Agreed price

The agreed price and offer history are compiled for the dealership to process. A person handles exceptions.

  4. The dealer completes the sale

The contract, electronic signature and payment or financing use the dealer’s systems and selected providers. Finally, the dealership arranges vehicle handover with the customer.

This describes the full product journey. The public demo does not complete every step; rollout readiness is explained below.

Price agreed — the dealership completes the sale

An agreed price means that the vehicle and price have been agreed under the dealer’s authority. The salesperson does not need to restart the same price negotiation. The sales contract, electronic signature, payment or financing, and handover remain separate steps; the vehicle is not yet paid for or handed over. Price validity and availability are checked under the agreed terms.

Full journey — requires verified connections

  1. Vehicle listing
  2. List price or negotiation
  3. Agreed price
  4. Sales contract
  5. Electronic signature
  6. Payment or financing
  7. Handover

Sales agrees the price under the dealer’s authority. The dealership and its selected providers handle the contract, electronic signature, payment or financing, and handover. Funds are paid directly to the dealership. Kopilotti does not receive, hold or transfer funds or make financing decisions.

The public demo is a non-binding demonstration. List-price and negotiated-price paths are implemented, but the current flow stops before real payment or financing. The new atomic deal-record, reservation and inventory-lock path is implemented and tested separately and is not connected to the current customer journeys. Rollout requires verified availability, data handoff, contract, electronic-signature and payment or financing connections.

Trade-in and settlement

Trade-in is part of the same deterministic transaction decision

The Trade-in V1 target flow handles vehicle identification, VIS valuation, a dealer-selected vehicle-history check, an offer, and settlement as separate, traceable steps.

  1. Registration and odometer reading
  2. Vehicle identification
  3. VIS valuation
  4. Optional history check
  5. Deterministic offer
  6. Settlement and deal summary

Production boundary: Trade-in V1, DealSnapshot and the vehicle-history risk layer are implemented and tested in separate implementations, but they are not yet connected to this public demonstrator's production traffic. There is no announced Autovista’s VIS valuation service or carVertical partnership or active production integration.

Distinction

What sets Kopilotti Sales apart from a chatbot

Typical chatbot

  • Answers general questions
  • Routes to customer service
  • Retrieves information from a knowledge base
  • Does not participate in price decision logic

Kopilotti Sales

  • Operates inside a specific vehicle's purchase context
  • Runs a bounded price negotiation
  • Uses commercial boundaries the dealer has defined
  • Can continue the conversation outside sales-staff hours
  • Escalates exceptions to a person

Sales performs the selling task authorised by the dealer. People handle exceptions, and the dealership remains responsible for completing the sale.

Lightweight onboarding

A pilot starts with a single link

A vehicle-specific Negotiate the price link opens price negotiation within the dealership’s sales channel. A bounded trial can start with a link; commercial rollout requires verified authority, availability, data handoff and completion steps.

  1. Vehicle-specific magic link

The link carries only a random, opaque token, for example sales.kopilotti.online/n/8F3KD91X. Vehicle data and negotiation rules are fetched from the server — a floor or target price is never added to the URL.

  2. Kopilotti Admin

The dealer sets the list price, target price, lowest acceptable price, counter-offer step, campaign text and validity window. Admin generates the vehicle-specific magic link.

  3. API and integrations

Once the model is validated, link creation can be automated through DMS, e-commerce and CRM integrations, and through marketplaces' own APIs and partnership terms.

How negotiation boundaries are configured

The dealer configures vehicle-specific commercial boundaries in Kopilotti Admin. The screenshot uses synthetic example data.

The pilot defines vehicles, commercial limits, human escalation and completion responsibilities. A link alone does not establish a working transaction or integration chain.

Control

The dealer sets the negotiation boundaries. Kopilotti Sales operates only inside them.

A dealer can define negotiation terms, for example:

  • Per vehicle
  • Per vehicle group
  • Per price band
  • Based on a campaign
  • Based on stock position
  • As requiring manual approval

The model used is agreed during the pilot, matched to the dealer's own pricing process.

Safety and control

AI can support the conversation. Verified rules and provider states control the transaction.

  • The language model does not decide price boundaries.
  • The dealer's rules are processed server-side.
  • The browser must never know internal boundaries.
  • Exceptional cases can be routed to a person.
  • The customer's identity is verified before the actual price negotiation begins.
  • The number of automated negotiation rounds is limited, and the negotiation moves to the dealer when needed.
  • Commercial decisions and their basis are recorded traceably.
  • An unclear or incomplete situation does not automatically result in a price promise.
  • The dealer retains control over pricing.
  • The system does not independently grant credit or make financing decisions; financing applications are intended to be handled by the financing provider, in the provider's own environment.
  • The service does not receive, hold or transfer customer funds.

FAQ

Common questions from dealerships

Is this a lead service?

Sales acts as a car salesperson and agrees a price under the dealer’s authority. A lead expresses interest; an agreed price means the vehicle and price are already agreed, so the same price negotiation does not need to start again. The public demo is non-binding, and automatic data handoff to dealer systems requires integration.

What is Sales authorised to decide?

The dealer defines its commercial authority. A deterministic server-side policy engine accepts a price, makes a counter-offer, rejects an offer or escalates an exception under those rules. The language model does not decide the price.

Where are the contract and payment handled?

In the dealer’s systems and with its selected contract, electronic-signature and payment or financing providers. Funds go directly to the dealership. An accepted price is not yet a signed contract, payment or vehicle handover. Connections must be verified before rollout.

Can Kopilotti accept a price below the dealer-defined minimum acceptable price?

No. Price acceptance is governed by the dealer-defined commercial policy on the server. The language model does not decide the acceptable price or receive the internal pricing boundaries. Depending on the policy and the offer, the outcome can be acceptance, a counter-offer, rejection or escalation to dealer staff.

What if a customer tries to manipulate the AI?

The conversational layer and the commercial price decision are separated. A customer message does not itself change the server-side commercial policy or give the language model authority to accept a price. This boundary reduces the potential impact of prompt injection on the commercial decision, but it is not presented as complete protection against every possible attack. Ambiguous cases can be escalated to dealer staff.

What does a pilot require from the dealer?

A pilot begins by selecting a bounded set of vehicles, defining their negotiation parameters, and agreeing on escalation criteria for dealer staff. A vehicle-specific magic link is then embedded into the existing vehicle page or sales flow. Deep DMS or CRM integrations are not required to launch a successful pilot.

How does Kopilotti connect to the dealer's current website or systems?

An initial pilot can go live with a simple vehicle-specific negotiation link added to listings or web pages. Deeper integrations into dealer management systems (DMS), CRM platforms, e-commerce checkouts, or marketplaces are agreed upon separately as pilot validation progresses, avoiding upfront integration overhead.

Does Kopilotti process payments or make financing decisions?

No. Kopilotti Sales does not receive, hold, transfer, settle or refund customer funds, and it does not make financing or credit decisions. After the price has been agreed, the customer pays the dealership in the dealership's own systems or enters into a financing agreement directly with the dealership or its financing partner. Kopilotti may produce a structured negotiation summary and hand the matter forward, but it is not the merchant of record, payment processor or lender.

Getting started

Start with a bounded pilot

  1. Select a limited set of vehicles.
  2. Define the commercial boundaries for negotiation.
  3. Decide which cases escalate to a person.
  4. Integrate the required data.
  5. Monitor conversations and outcomes.
  6. Expand only after controlled testing.

Demo

See what a controlled digital price negotiation feels like

Concept demonstrator – does not require strong identity verification and does not create a binding offer. The demonstrator shows, from the customer's side, what a digital price negotiation can feel like. The vehicle, prices and dialogue are example data.

The current demonstrator models a Finnish dealer transaction. Market-specific financing, consumer-law, payment and vehicle-registration integrations would need to be implemented separately for each country. The interactive negotiation interface itself is presented in Finnish, reflecting that current scope.
